If it is just happening on 1080i content, the patch referenced in the
link above should take care of it.  I believe, it is really a driver
bug (I read a post on the freedesktop.org list) but the patch in the
wiki seems to work around the driver bug.

Before I patched myth, I could play back 720p and 480p/i programs no
problem, it was just the 1080i content.
