Well, I created a symbolic link to from some small recording to
6081_20061228152857.mpg. The comm flagger tool took it, finished, and
dropped it from the que. So hopefully that problem is solved
I'm still seeing comm flag jobs fail the first time. The next time comm
flagger starts they are in the que and complete normally.
Does the comm flagger suspend the job if you start watching the show its
working on? That might explain the behavior I'm seeing.
Also I have my "Maximum simultaneous jobs on this backend" set to two. What
is included in "simultaneous jobs?" I assumed it was just comm flagging and
transcending. Does it include recording or watching, because I only see one
comm flagging job happening at a time, and I don't do transcending.
Thanks,
Jon

I've attached a snippet from my backend log. Would it work to copy some
file into 6081_20061228152857.mpg let it comm flag it then delete it later.
The whole mess appears to corrupting the current comm flag process. It
declaring itself done 18 min after the program starts and says it found 139
breaks????
Thanks for the help,
Jon

Hello,
I think I have a corrupt program in my database. Every time a legitimate
program starts commercial flagging the following entry shows up in Mythweb
too.
Thu 12/28 3:28 PM - Jewelry Television - Flag Commercials
Jewelry Television (12:00 PM-4:00 PM)
Job: Flag Commercials
Status: Running
Status Time: Mon Mar 5 10:00 AM
Host: MYMACHINE
Comments:
Building Head Start Buffer
I've notice some irregular behavior from the commercial flagger too. Some
times it appears that it crashes on a program but then it completes
correctly the next time the commercial flagger starts.
FYI I run the optimizeDb script every night right after I fill the database.
How do I kill the strange program listed above? It does not exist in the
recordings that I can see from the UI.
Thanks,
Jon
