I have four frontend/backend combo systems.  Each uses a local hard
drive to store recordings.

However, I have a fileserver with 1.5 terabytes of storage (using LVM
across three 500 mb drives) that I use to hold movies that I have
backed up from DVDs.

As far as I know, the new storage directory feature only supports
recordings.  If you have a video collection stored on hard drives,
then you have to use LVM if your storage needs exceed one physical
drive.

Am I correct?  If not, please educate me.
