I have this exact same problem on a new frontend. I don't think it is 
related to horsepower since I am running an AMD X2 64 4400+. It always 
happens at a Chapter change. Video slows down for a few seconds then 
starts playing back normally. My old frontend did not have this problem. 
It was a P4. I updated my copy of svn around May when I purchased a new 
frontend so it may be related to changes around then. I will have to 
enable verbose logging and see what I get.
