I use a 12000 series VIA board, as well as a 8000 series board at my 
house. I only view standard definition, and I don't have too many 
issues. The 12000 board responds to the remote faster and I had to turn 
off the on-screen fade feature or I would get jittery video while it 
faded the info box away. Other than that, I've been pretty happy.
