If your projector supports all those modes there is a very large
probability that the reason you cannot get a picture is due to the way
you have the projector set up or a defective projector. I cannot access
the earliest posts on this issue due to a computer crash so I cannot
tell if you have tried connecting a windows pc to your VGA input and
verified that the projector is working. I would not be surprised if your
brand new toy is defective. No manufacturer does any verification of
correct function beyond the board level when building these devices and
you have to remember they are using $0.25/hour labor in a least cost
country to do the work. I guess what I am saying is go back and verify
the thing works. Getting a working modeline is not that hard. 640x480
should be automatic for every output of your video card. Also verify
that your video card works with a standard monitor. Even if you have
to go buy one, make the test and return it for a refund. (You didn't
hear me say that) :-)

PS - Your standard monitor should have a setup mode that will tell you
exactly what resolution and refresh rate you are running.

Good luck,
Bill
