Unless you are dead set on using the FM tuner with your DirecTV, I would go
down to the PVR 150 or 250 model.  The 250 is identical to the 500 for TV
recording, it is only lacking the FM tuner option.

If you want to record from both receivers, I'm pretty sure you will need 2
TV Cards (1 per receiver).
