[mythtv-users] Remote control (without a tuner card) recommendations?

Hey brad,

I have a Hauppauge remote control that I found on ebay for $4 and a LIRC
Serial IR receiver that was $6 and they both work very well.

You can actually use any remote you fancy, you just have to either find
an existing config/map for it for LIRC/Mythtv or make your own which is
not that much of a problem if you have an evening to get it right.

As far as it being difficult, I got one tuner card that had a remote
that was not supported (Nova-T 500) and one where I just could not get
it working (Compro DVB-T 300) but the $6 LIRC serial receiver worked
first time!
