At last the mist is lifting. Perhaps I am trying to do something that I
am not equipped to do. I have some videos which I took with my digicam
and converted to .mjpeg files. I was trying to use mythtv to access
these files so that I could edit them and then burn to DVD. I do not
have Mythvideo installed.

At least we agree on the unpredictable nature of the arrow keys,
