[mythtv-users] Custom menu problem

I have created a custom main menu and submenus - which I can navigate just
fine.  However, when the frontend first starts, the mainmenu appears but on
it's own the frontend jumps to another menu within 2 seconds.
 
Any idea what would cause this behavior?
