There are two things here - managing files and playing files.

I'm pretty sure the Internal player supports playing directories but I 
use Xine and isos seem easier to play with it.

But it's managing files I find a problem - I don't want to have to use 
Video manager to enter the details for 25 VOB files when I can do it 
once for a single iso.

I also don't use Myth to rip my DVD's I use dvdbackup and genisofs via 
the command line.

I like that.
