Hi,

did that, but the same problem !
I have a feeling it is to do with something else ... whilst I can't see the
menu items I can still use it ... watch TV ... see the EPG, etc.
Just the menu text doesn't show ... icons do however !

So currently I have to run over HDMI with the RGB plugged in. If I remove
the RGB plug on boot the menu text doesn't show ...

I am running mythbuntu.org with an ATI video card :
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV280 [Radeon 9200
PRO] (rev 01)
01:00.1 Display controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV280 [Radeon 9200 PRO]
(Secondary) (rev 01)

Linux version 2.6.22-8-generic (buildd at palmer) (gcc version 4.1.3 20070629
(prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.1.2-13ubuntu2)) #1 SMP Thu Jul 12 15:59:45 GMT 2007

When I installed no HDMI (DVI-D) was not in place ... only RGB

Could it be X or gdm issues from installation ?

thanks
Matt
