Because if you understand Ubuntu's update policy and compare it to
Mythbuntu you will quickly understand the benefits.

Mario has said on this list before that Mythbuntu will track svn
-fixes and will perform automated builds every week (Sunday I think?).
And an advanced user would even be able to track svn trunk, with a bit
of tweaking/hacking.

So users will have access to the latest -fixes backports from trunk
within the week. A great advantage over Ubuntu's package update policy
don't you think?

I am not involved in the Mythbuntu project, I just think that it is a
worthy pursuit and wish the Mythbuntu the best of luck.
