[mythtv-users] Upgrading to SVN

Is there any other way to get the recording storage directories features
other than going with svn? I am not very comfortable with compiling and I
don't want to mess up a perfectly working myth box

It's generally not a good idea if you're not comfortable compiling/
maintaining your own binaries.
