I have a PCIE X550 Radeon, fanless, works fine with xorg r300 driver (no 
binary rubbish) and VGA->RGB cable, taking no more than a custom PAL 
modeline, if it had XvMC I suppose that would offload some work from the 
CPU but that's about all.
