[mythtv-users] Fedora Core 6 won't boot after installation (x86_64)?

Hmm, I've been sitting here looking around the net for some advice but 
can't find a similar problem. Although there seemes to be a LOT of 
different problems with FC6. Anyway, my problem is this: I downloaded 
the DVD and started the installation, it locked at "io scheduler cfq 
register" all the time, so I searched for it and found that booting with 
this option would make it start, "|linux noapic acpi=off nofb|", so far 
so good. The installation went smooth but when rebooting nothing 
happens. I get the usual BIOS stuff (obviously) and then the marker just 
blinks in the upper left corner. Nothing happens at all. There is no 
GRUB installed as this HTPC will run linux only (i.e. no DUAL-boot). So 
what is this? I'm trying to setup the 64-bit version on an AMD64. Any 
thoughts on this?
