Hi,
I'm trying to set up a Dell Dimension 2400 as a myth system and can't
get wide screen resolutions to work.
The LCD manual has a PC compatibility chart which says that it should
be able to handle a WXGA signal at 1280x768 - H frequency 47.40kHz and
47.78kHz - V frequency 60Hz, VESA.
I have run this configuration successfully under windows at 1280x768.
I used PowerStrip to generate the following ModeLines:
"1280x768" 79.500 1280 1344 1472 1664 768 771 778 798 -hsync +vsync
"1280x768" 79.800 1280 1344 1472 1664 768 771 778 798 -hsync +vsync
and used 915resolution to overwrite an unused mode to 1280x768. But
now the Xserver does not bail out, but no picture appears.
I've also tried the mode listed
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/Modeline_Database#Sony_Bravia_KLV-S32A10E_.28KLV-S40A10E.2C_KLV-S32A10E.2C_KLV-S26A10E.2C_KLV-S23A10E.2C_KLV-S19A10E.29
but it failed with a "exceeds DDC maximum 80MH" error.
I'm using a Ubuntu 2.6.17-11 kernel with the following packages:
915resolution 0.5.2-4
xserver-org 7.1.1
xserver-org-video-i810 1.6.5-0
Any help on getting this set up to display the 1280x768 resolution
would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Rob.
