[mythtv-users] mythtv-setup error before OSD comes up.

Hello All,
Running mythtv-setup, in a Konsole shell, "freezes" before the OSD GUI comes
up. The last two lines on the Konsole are: "Switching to square mode
(G.A.N.T.)" "Using the Qt painter".
The output of 'gdb -x mythtv-setup' is further below. It looks like
"i830_dri.so" had an error, but I don't know how to tell if that's the cause
or the effect, and how to proceed from here.
Any thoughts/advice greatly appreciated.

2.8gHz P4, 512MB, Intel 845G video chipset.
