I have installed MythTV on top of several different distributions Fedora,
SuSE, Ubuntu.  I have also installed KnoppMyth and MythDora.

I have had the greatest success with Fedora Core using Jarod Wilson's
wonderful how-to document at http://wilsonet.com/mythtv/fcmyth.php.
