[mythtv-users] Sound card problem

Hi all -

I'm having a problem with my Audigy 2 ZS sound card...

Sound from the pcHDTV 5500 is routed to the MIC input (the only way this
card seems to work in Myth) for the analog and s-video inputs. For the
digital channels, it goes through the PCI bus.

While watching analog/S-video channels in live TV, I get a repeating audio
echo.

There is a control in alsamixer called "PCM Capture" which I found out
apparently is causing this loop. However, I can't find a way to shut it
off. Kmix doesn't give me any input controls (apparently a
commonly-reported bug) and, while I can see it in alsamixer, I can't shut
it off. I can run it down to zero, but as soon as I start live TV, it
goes back up to 96...echo-echo-echo.

Anyone know how to silence PCM Capture permanently?

Thanks
Bob
