[mythtv-users] Recording firewire streams with no PAT?

I've picked up a Pace DC-550 cable box with a firewire port from the
local Brighthouse office here in Tampa, hoping to try out Myth's
firewire recording method. I hooked it up and can establish a P2P
connection and dump the transport stream to a file using test-mpeg2,
however myth can't record using it.

The first issue I ran into is that the AVC Power Query was returning
"query not implemented" so the signal monitor would just keep trying to
query. I fixed that and got myth to start doing a raw ieee1394 read
loop but it would never start recording. I eventually traced this to
the signal monitor waiting for PAT and PMT information to come along.
However, I've dumped several hours of MPEG TS from various channels and
have yet to see a single PAT packet. There are always 3 PIDs:
0x0090 - Video ES
0x0091 - Audio ES
0x1fff - The Null-Packet stream

Is there anyway to force Myth to skip looking for the PAT and PMT and
force it to use a fixed PMT?
