[mythtv-users] MythTV hangs

Hi.
I'm currently using MythTV 0.20 installed from Ubuntu repositories on Ubuntu
6.10.
I am using only the frontend because the backend is on another machine.
The problem is when I start mythtv-setup or mythfrontend from the Ubuntu
terminal all hangs, and I have to restart the PC.
I can't switch to the text console or kill the application with CRT+ALT+ESC,
or restart the X server with CRTL+ALT+Backspace.

Could you help me, please?
