[mythtv-users] Ubuntu and Nvidia drivers - not quite to the point of tears

- log out of your X session

- at the login screen hit Ctrl-Shift-F2

- log in at the prompt

- type "sudo /etc/init.d/gdm stop" (replace gdm with kdm if you're running
KDE)

- cd to the directory where you downloaded nvidia drivers to and run the
script

- when the script is finished and the drivers are installed you should be
able to type "start x" and see the nvidia logo flash before you are taken to
your X session.
