Not at all. The problems are with that particular chipset, and possibly with the 
way that the motherboard makers have decided to use the available functionality.

You can just as easily get other chipset/motherboard combinations which will 
prove just as problematic to get working.

Not to mention, other chipset/motherboard combinations, as mentioned on this 
list, which are known to give good results.
