Hi
I've the "No Audio" problem with MythTV and I don't know where to start.
I've "googled" around a lot without any luck. The problem is there is to
many parameters to "mess around" with:
* There is the .asoundrc file
* There is the amixer settings
* There is the Gnome audio settings
* There is the mythfroentend audio settings
Can someone please help me in the right direction so I can solve the
problem step by step insted of gessing and just changing parameters
"with the eyes closed".
Best regards
Anders
Here is some info:
The TVCard is: Avermedia (FM1216ME). The card is set up as number 22 and
the tuner is 38.
The sound card is SoundBlaster Live 5.1.
The two cards is connected with a cable. If the cable from the TVCard is
connected to speackers I got sound, buth not in MythTv.
This command make me watch TV in mplayer:
mplayer tv:// -tv
driver=v4l2:norm=PAL:input=0:amode=1:width=384:height=288:outfmt=yv12:device=/dev/video0:chanlist=europe-west:channel=K62
Before starting mythfroentend this script is executed:
[mythtv at localhost ~]$ more amixer_initiate.sh
amixer set Master,0 75%,75% unmute
amixer set PCM,0 75%,75% unmute
amixer set Line,0 75%,75% mute captur
amixer set Capture,0 75%,75% captur
aplay /usr/share/sounds/startup3.wav
The .asoundrc file is like this:
[mythtv at localhost ~]$ more .asoundrc
pcm.emu10k1 {
type hw
card 0
rate 32000
}
ctl.emu10k1 {
type hw
card 0
rate 32000
}
Here is the AUDIO settings in the mythfroentend:
Sound: ALSA:default
Output device: ALSA:ice958:{ AES0 0x02 }
Mixer: default, PCM
In the Gnome sound settings "things" is like this:
Sound Events, sound playback: autodetect
Music and Movies, sound playback: autodetect
Audio conferenving, Sound playback:Autodetect, Sound capture: SA7134 PCM
Default mixer tracks device: SB LIVE 5.1 (Alsaq mixer), CAPTURE
The gnome sound software (ESD) is disabled.
When I start the mythfrontend I get this info:
