There are known problems with the SiS 760 chipset. I bought two Foxconn
760GXK8MB motherboards a long while ago to build two identical systems, one
running W2K, the other running Linux. The Windows box performs flawlessly, go
figure. I had no end of trouble getting Linux to work at all satisfactorily on
the other box. There are DMA problems and graphics problems. I dug around on
Google looking for answers without success.
The DMA problems mean that you can't even really use the board for a server,
certainly not a Myth server. Put it in a box for the children to use, or put it
on the shelf. Write it off to experience. There are other more superior
motherboards around which Myth will make much better use of.
