I just went to look at dmesg for some other reason and found these errors.

[108715.863315] ivtv0: All encoder MPEG stream buffers are full. Dropping data.[108715.863320] ivtv0: Cause: the application is not reading fast enough.[187845.748109] ivtv0: All encoder MPEG stream buffers are full. Dropping data.[187845.748115] ivtv0: Cause: the application is not reading fast enough.

I haven't noticed any problems with recordings BUT I do have to admit I am WAY behind on watching stuff. I am still watching stuff recorded back in October. I have 197 shows to watch (per xbmcmythtv. this is where I watch all my stuff), most of them are 30 minutes long and include Family Guy, Cane, Scrubs, CSI, etc etc.

I have found a few things through gogle but they all seem old and not related to this version of the ivtv module. Per dmesg, this is my ivtv info:

I am running mythtv from Ubuntu Feisty Updates repo. Aptitude shows this:
 0.20.2-0ubuntu0.7.04.1
I have a PVR-350 using the S-Video IN connection which is capturing the SA3250 cable box output.

Any help would be appreciated.

Daniel
