I always just skip over the static network change..The default ip
has always worked for me..I have used that guide many times, and i have
always had my system up and running in no time...There are a few
outdated paragraphs in the guide,like the location of mc.sql, but doing
a search for it and changing the path it will work...The only other
thing i can think of is lirc is installed by default now and you only
need install lirc-kmdl-$KVER...
I am no expert in Mythtv or Linux, but i have enjoyed
learning....Post your questions here,there is many people here eager to
help....
