Whilst I find the whole overscan-underscan thing rather frustrating,
I guess I have to commend Mitushbishi for being so honest about it &
explaining so well the size of the border & cropping & the warping. I
got quite a thick manual with my Sony, but I think that it touches on
this at all. Looks like you have a very good selection of connections
on the back, too.
I observe that the 1080p diagram on the page you mention is marked as
"PC 1080p"; I think it's possible to obtain graphics cards now that
do TV-1080p over HDMI. Certainly when using my MacBook and a DVI ->
HDMI cable with my telly I was never able to get such good results -
border or cropping was always present - as I now get with my PS3
(running Linux it is still able to give 1:1 1080p at 50hz or 60hz).
