Hey Group.
I have some question about some problems eith the mtd daemon.
My setup:
I have a house where I want to setup MythTV as the system running in the
house. I have for several years now beeing running Backend and frontend
on the same machine, but now I want more :-)
I have a server standing in a room (out in the back where I have GBLAN
in the house. This machine are only running MythBackend - and are setup
to be running X in some situations.
This machine are working fine - with the different shares.
I have made a directory on the server called /storage
In this storage - I have mounted some disc for beeing able to store all
my music movies etc.
Normally the directory's are called - music, pictures, music, recordings.
This is running and working.
The problem is about the mtd.
On the frontends in the livingroom etc - I have a DVDdrive that I want
to use - for inserting new music, some concert DVD's etc, but I getting
a error about the mtd is not installed. I have now installed the mtd -
BUT cannot getting the mtd to start - caurse on the frontends it says:
/etc/rc.d/mtd restart
:: Stopping Myth Transcoding
Daemon
[FAIL]
:: Starting Myth Transcoding
Daemon
[BUSY]
2007-12-23 07:58:12.342 Using runtime prefix = /usr
2007-12-23 07:58:12.347 New DB connection, total: 1
2007-12-23 07:58:12.351 Unable to connect to database!
2007-12-23 07:58:12.351 Driver error was [1/1045]:
QMYSQL3: Unable to connect
Database error was:
Access denied for user 'mythtv'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
QSqlQuery::exec: database not open
[DONE]
[root at stuen ~]# QSqlQuery::exec: database not open
2007-12-23 07:58:12.403 DB Error (KickDatabase):
Query was:
SELECT NULL;
No error type from QSqlError? Strange...
Could not initialize myth context. Exiting.
Well - the problem is off caurse - that it tries to connect to
localhost, but I have tryed to figure out where it settings that param,
and cannot find that file anywhere .
Is there any way to solved this problem so I can rip my DVD's and CD
from the frontends??
My system is based upon ArchLinux which have MythTV in their package
database.
If there's a better solution to that question/problem I would be really
glad to hear/know about!
Greetings and happy Holidays!
