Not sure yet.  It doesn't seem like a network problem if you can
access all of the myth-related ports.  Do you have a mythfrontend or
backend log excerpt you can post?  If either programs generate error
messages when you access the 'Watch Recordings' screen, they may be of
use.

Which tuner is being used when you watch Live TV?  Is it in your MBE?
Are your recordings stored on the frontend, MBE, both?
