Here is a funny HD story for you!

My father lives in a small midwestern town of ~30,000 people. The CBS
affiliate there broadcasts it news in SD of course. Some times after the
news they forget to flick the feed back over to HD. So after the 30 mins to
a hour of syndicated TV airs and the network shows start they arent it HD.
I didnt believe him at first that there is really a "switch" but he said it
true because the times it has happened he has called the station and said
"Hey, can you turn the HD feed back on?" 2 seconds later the HD came on
with his OTA anntenna!

So if it does happen again and you notice while watching live TV try to call
that station. Then again in a larger city you may not actually be able to
speak to someone.
