Plenty for standard-def video. Maybe a hard drive bottleneck? What  
kind of drives? Is DMA turned on? It also might be an IRC conflict in  
your video cards.
Check to see what cat /proc/interrupts tells you about which devices  
are sharing interrupts (if any).

If all looks ok, check your logs when this happens. backend/frontent/ 
system logs.
