Yes, but do you have cool-n-quiet enabled and is your cpu running at 
full clock when you are playing SD video?  On my X2 4200+ (or was it a 
4600+ doesn't matter in this case) I can playback 1080i HD using 50% of 
one core and when I cat /proc/cpuinfo it is telling me I was running at 
only 1800MHz (It idles at 1000MHz).  It still had one more step to go to 
full speed.  No I am not using xvmc.  This is with nvidia binary driver 
(don't remember version) on a 6150.
