That error message sounds like your machine is having a hard time connecting
to Google's mail server. What I find strange is that it looks like gsmtp163
is nearly at the end of the list of mail servers for Google. Did you specify
somehow that it should use that machine? This email address is actually a
Google Apps for Your Domain address so all my mail goes to Google's servers.
I have no problems getting my messages from logwatch.
