[mythtv-users] Features of a home theater audio system

Currently have a CRT television.
Buying a HDTV.
Many of these come bundled with a 350-1000 Watt Home Theater System (HTS).
Many of these indicate they "1080i up-conversion via HDMI"

I have an Asus M2NPV-VM motherboard (nVidia 6150 chipset). I am not
certain how to connect audio to the theater system or how the
up-conversion will be useful with my MythTV system.

If I buy a 1080p television, do I care if the audio system does HDMI
up-conversion? Do I even connect the HDMI cable from the Myth box to
the HTS, or do I connect the HTS to the M2NPV-VM via different cables?

Before I shell out and purchase something I just want to make sure I
know what to look for.

TIA,
Dave
