In MythTV setup's channel editor, the video source name is displayed in
parens after the channel's callsign and channel number, so by deleting
the "copy" of the channel associated with the video source that cannot
receive that channel, you're removing the channel from the video source.

Regarding your other question, "What happens when a new channel appears
in the lineup but i only want one of my tuners to have it as an option?"
new channels are never added automatically to sources associated with
digital inputs. They will be added to sources associated with analog
inputs unless you specify the proper options (i.e.
--remove-new-channels). (I don't know how the firewire inputs are
treated, though.) Also, Myth tries not to add ATSC channels to NTSC
sources.

Then again, if you're really concerned, you could sign up for 2 SD
accounts (for twice the price of one) and never have to worry about it. :)
