[mythtv-users] Storage Groups and mythcommflag

So I have been running with storage groups for a few weeks, and love
the new functionality. It really allows me to take full advantage of
all available storage space.

I do have one concern: I have three backends all with their own
storage and a single storage group with all three machines via nfs
mounts. Things are great until the whole system gets full. What
happens then is that auto-expire deletes recordings in a relatively
random way. Recordings start, and get sent to one of the systems,
again relatively randomly, wherever space is available. Then
mythcommflag starts up and pulls the recordings back across the
network typically to the recording host.

This can get really ugly as 2, 4, or 6 video streams are sent through
the network simultaneously.

The point/suggestion/feature request is that I think it might make
sense to have an option to prefer the storage host for running
mythcommflag such that the file does not have to pass through the
network unnecessarily.

Thanks in advance for your consideration,
  Adrian
