I get this message hundreds of times all throughout /var/log/messages:
kernel: ivtv0 warning: encoder VBI: Couldn't find start of buffer
within the first 256 bytes
I also get:
kernel: ivtv0: All encoder VBI stream buffers are full. Dropping data.
kernel: ivtv0: Cause: the application is not reading fast enough.
Is my CPU simply too slow?
Is the hard drive too slow?
Is there's some buffer that's too small that I can tweak?
I have a PVR-350 and an Athlon XP 2400+, but I'm probably gonna get a
faster chip in a month or so, because this box is my "everything" server
(firewall, web, mail, mailman, Subversion,...).
Thanks.
