I don't use Myth so I can't tell you if disabling the channels will 
work.  Sounds feasable.

BTW.. if you do use the XMLTV route,  in the first run use add --dd-data 
to save the raw file, then use --dd-data --reprocess with a different 
--config file for the other lineups.. that way you only download the raw 
data once.
