Check out the MythEPG project (http://sourceforge.net/projects/mythepg/). The
mailing list has been quiet for a few weeks, though; I suspect that interest
waned when the Schedules Direct project was announced. Depending on the
Schedules Direct pricing scheme and other details, it's conceivable that the
MythEPG project will be re-invigorated.

Concerning the legality of the issue, this question was hacked to death a
couple of months ago. My impression is that there were lots of opinions on
the matter tossed around, with no definitive answers. The general belief was
that strictly factual data (that Show X is on at time Y, starring Actor Z)
couldn't be copyrighted, but that show descriptions might be. Bear in mind
that this was the consensus of people with limited legal knowledge and
training. I don't recall anybody posting who claimed to be a lawyer, although
I might be forgetting such a post.
