I think one of the most important points has been overlooked.  Look who is

 Chris Petersen
  (Mythtv)
I too am concerned, but with Isaac & company working the issue, I believe
that things will be resolved one way or another.  Hopefully there won't be a
gap in service, but even if there is, I am certain they are doing everything
possible to minimize it.
