OpenGL isn't working correctly. Make sure you're using the nvidia  
binary drivers (assuming you have an nvidia graphics card). Until you  
get OpenGL working on your system, you can launch the frontend with - 
O ThemePainter=qt to disable OpenGL in the frontend so you can see  
the menu items.
