[mythtv-users] mythfrontend freezes after first commerical skip, no status box

my frontend nolonger will accept input after the first commercial skip however it does keep playing the show.  Also the box that shows where you are in a show when you fast forward nolonger appears.  I tried to switch the themes per a suggestion but no luck still...ideas?
