[mythtv-users] OT - irexec not executing commands

I'm using lirc 0.8.1 and for some reason I can't get irexec commands
to work.  I'm using this:

begin
prog = irexec
button = POWER
config = /home/bomer/restartmyth &
end

I have irexec running, but the script never gets executed.  All the
script has now is an echo statement to write something to a tmp file,
just to see if its getting executed.  I have given the script execute
permissions and it of course works when you run it manually.

Does anybody have any idea?
