Fellow Myth-users,

I have a very strange problem that - according to google - is very uncommon:
When i want to watch live tv with Myth i get a black screen and after a
minute or so it returns to the main screen.
But when i set something up for recording it will record just fine and i
can watch as it records, so that's almost live...
Though this has saved me from missing the Champions League i would
rather just be able to zap along channels live.

My system is fairly basic; a 1200MHz AMD cpu, 256 megs of RAM, a
Geforce2 Mx400 for svideo-out and a PVR-150 with ivtv drivers.
I run archlinux, by the way.

tail /var/log/mythbackend.log gives me:
2007-04-14 15:08:19.045 TVRec(1): Changing from None to WatchingLiveTV
2007-04-14 15:08:19.094 TVRec(1): HW Tuner: 1->1
2007-04-14 15:08:21.134 MPEGRec(/dev/video0) Warning: MPEG Layer1 does
not work properly with ivtv driver.
Using MPEG layer 2 audio instead.
2007-04-14 15:08:21.144 MPEGRec(/dev/video0) Error: Could not set MPEG
controls 2 through 0.
eno: Numerical result out of range (34)

Clearly, something is very wrong here. I must mention at this point that
liveTV has worked for me, but i can't really remember when it stopped
working. Perhaps when i upgraded my kernel (just a 2.6.20-1 to -2), or
something. Recompiling ivtv has done me no good, though.

I am very curious as to what these messages actually mean. Perhaps that
will bring me a step closer to the solution.

Thank you all in advance,
Geert Smolders
