At least in my case it's costing them a lot more than $50. Because they
won't support Linux with high quality, feature-rich drivers I won't buy an
ATI card for any purpose. My main gaming machine is a Windows box and even
though ATI is a viable option there I won't consider them until they sort
out their Linux support. Which means they've missed out on hundreds of
dollars potential sales over the years.
