You might benefit from "tvwish".

It doesn't directly address your delete rule issue, but in practice will do 
what you want.

Rather than your bi-weekly search, it will do that for you.
If something gets queued you don't have space or time for, just override it.
Same with delete.  Let tvwish watch for another.

I do that all the time.
Classic movies will get recorded, but space and time don't allow me to keep 
them around to watch.
I delete them and allow re-recording, when I know it's one that is 
frequently aired.
