Depends on what you mean by "Linux Support".

The PS3 controllers are bluetooth, and there is BT support in Linux,  
so theoretically it could be made to work, but I've never tried it.

They have "Linux Support" with the YDL release of Linux for the PS3,  
in that they are "recognized", but getting the interface to the  
actual games(s) might take some work.

There is a USB cable on the PS3 controller but it seems to be used  
just as a DC power source to charge the battery.

As for "nice" I have no idea, I've never played a video game since Pong.
