I tested it again, but sort of like I was expecting, got no
recommendations. My guess as to why is because of the differences in
the program info (and me probably being the only Finnish tester). It's
not the character set -- it's that the same popular programs (I'd
guess) are not called the same, so they're not recognised. Such as:
"The Shield" is called "Shield - Lain varjolla", "The Simpsons" is
"Simpsonit", etc -- nevermind something like "America's Next Top
Model" (to pick one from the girlfriend's schedule) being "Huippumalli
haussa".

Not much you can do about that, save for also creating some kind of
community-maintained title translation table, unfortunately.
